As a social justice organization committed to alleviating the criminal justice system’s debilitating effects on black and brown communities, CGLA works tirelessly by providing legal services, social supports, education, and advocacy to those most disproportionately impacted. Our teams work to help dismantle the systemic inequities that perpetuate the barriers and collateral consequences that have impoverished and failed communities of color while serving everyone we can who is negatively affected by the criminal justice system. Despite our progress, voices are still silenced and cycles of poverty and oppression continue to exist. Only through our shared commitment will justice prevail.
